What is Orientation Week?

Orientation Week is a wonderful opportunity for first-year students to meet new friends and learn about campus resources before the academic year starts. We have a lot of fun activities planned from challenges, to carnivals, and boat cruises. It is a fun and interactive way to get involved with your college as a first year! We hope to see you all there!

Join us for a week filled with rad events that'll teleport you straight into the heart of the new millennium. 🕺💃 Meet new friends as we host a series of Y2K-inspired gatherings where the dance floor is on fire and the beats are poppin'! 🎶

But that's not all! Prepare to set sail on a boat cruise adventure that'll have you partying the Y2K way on the high seas! 🚢 Get ready to dance under the stars as we cruise into the night!

And of course, we're not forgetting the artsy side of the Y2K era! Unleash your creativity with arts and crafts sessions, where you'll make memories while creating your unique masterpieces! 🎨

How to join?

To participate in this year's Orientation Week, you need to be a first-year student and have purchased a Frosh Kit with us. The kit includes the following:

  • T-shirt & Wristband (your ticket to all events in the schedule)

  • Drawstring Bag

  • Water Bottle

  • Bandana

  • Lanyard

  • Sunglasses

  • Baseball Cap

  • An amazing week with Calumet College

Is this the right Frosh Kit for you?

As a first year student at York, you are affiliated with a College based on the program you enrolled in. Visit this website to confirm your program and your college affiliation: https://www.yorku.ca/orientation/college-finder/

We highly suggest that you purchase a Frosh Kit from your affiliated college as you can socialize with peers within your program.

Waiver

To ensure the safety of everyone, we will require a signed waiver to be presented as you pick up your Frosh Kit. Students under the age of 18 years old will be asked to have a parent sign their waiver. Further details will be sent via email.
