We promise it will still be a great time.

What is Orientation Week?

  • Orientation Week (O’Week) is a week-long series of events, activities, and workshops designed to welcome new students to York University and help them transition into university life. It’s a chance to meet other first-years, make friends, and learn about the campus and its resources, all while participating in fun activities!

When is O’Week happening?

  • O’Week will take place during the last week of August from the 24th - 31st, before the Fall semester begins. Check out our website for more information [INSERT WEBSITE]

Who can participate in O-Week?

  • All incoming first-year and transfer students can participate, regardless of program or commuting/residence status. If you're unsure of your affiliated college, you can check it on your student account or ask us!

  • Students are recommended to attend the O-week from the college that houses their major. However, students are welcome to attend any O-week. You can check your college here. If it says Calumet, then you’re in the right spot!

Is there a dress code?

  • We don't have a dress code but do ask that for events you wear your O-week provided t-shirt and wristband.

Is there a cost to participate?

  • Yes, there is a one-time Orientation Week fee that covers your access to all events, workshops, meals, swag, and more. Tickets range from $145 - $155.

Do I have to attend every event?

  • Nope! While we encourage you to attend as many events as possible to get the full experience, you can choose which events fit your schedule and comfort level.

Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket if I find out that I cannot attend later on?

  • No. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
