What is Orientation Week?

When does Frosh/Orientation Week start?

Orientation week runs from September 2nd to September 10th.

When and where can I purchase a Frosh Kit?

Frosh Kits go on sale on July 10th, and can be purchased online, or in person throughout Frosh so long as they're still available. 

What comes with the Frosh Kit?

Primarily, your wristband, which grants you access to all our scheduled events. It also includes a physical kit, containing plenty of goodies to help you through the week!

Can I buy a Frosh Kit if I'm not affiliated with Calumet College?

You do not have to be a Calumet affiliate, but it's suggested you attend the Frosh of either your residence affiliation, or program affiliation.

Do I have to attend every event?

No, you do not have to attend every event, but it's highly recommended that you come for as many as possible to get the most out of Frosh.

Classes start on September 8th, will I have to miss them to participate in events?

You may attend classes, and our schedule is set up with this conflict in mind!

I'm a commuter, will I be able to stay on campus for the duration of the week?

There will be commuter rooms you can stay in overnight which are available on a first come, first serve basis. When the application becomes available, it will be posted for you!

Does my Frosh Kit include meals?

Your frosh kit does include some meals, but you will be expected to bring your own, or buy some.

I have allergy/dietary restrictions, will they be accommodated for?

Yes.

Are we allowed to bring alcohol?

Frosh is strictly a dry event. There is a zero-tolerance policy in effect, and anyone caught with alcohol or other substances will not be allowed to attend events, and will have their wristband removed.
