A GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL O-WEEK

What is O-Week?

O-Week is a 9 day event with fun activities on and off campus with your college affiliation based on program and/or faculty. This is your opportunity to get familiar with the campus, to find all your classes, meet your future classmates and best friends and more importantly experience the BEST week of your life! Transitioning from high school to university can’t get any better than this!

What’s included in our Orientation Kits?

Some things your frosh kit will include are:

a t-shirt, snacks, lanyard, water bottle, temp tattoos. duffel bag, your wristband (your ticket for entry for all the events) AND MORE!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

You will need your York University ID card to be able to register. If you do not have your ID by September 1st, don't you worry about it, we will bring you to where you need to be to get it in a timely manner! Make sure you buy your ticket well in advance! There is no age limit since we know some of you might have skipped grades! (We recommend coming in before the week to get your York U ID to avoid long lineups)

What can/can't I bring to the event?

You can definitely bring anything you want EXCLUDING weapons, alcohol and illegal substances. We are promoting a dry frosh week which means no intoxication of any kind is permitted throughout this week. It has been a York University tradition and we've had nothing but fun! We promise it will still be a great time.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?

Your ticket is not transferable on any occasion.

Can I update my registration information?

If you've made a mistake and a correction needs to be made, please don't hesitate to contact us so we can update your information for you!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You will need to bring the printed TICKET, along with your wavier and York University ID/government issued ID with you on the first day you arrive to pick up your kit and wristband! If you do not have your waiver form signed you will not be able to register.

What is the refund policy?

Any request for refunds will be granted by 9:00am on August 31st, 2018. Please notify president.calumetcc@gmail.com AND calfrosh@gmail.com if you require that. No exceptions will be made after this day.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Your information on the registration MUST match the information of the attendee so make sure that your ticket has your name and your information on it! Tickets are not transferable so please do not make this mistake! You will not be permitted to participate in frosh week, if the information does not match.

Will there be accommodations available throughout the week? The events go late and I want to experience it all!

There will be limited spaces available to frosh to remain on campus, on a first come, first serve basis. To be eligible for it, please fill our this form.
